Plate Tectonics, Natural Selection, & Biology with the Islands That Changed the World
Off the coast of Ecuador, straddling the equator are an unassuming set of islands that changed science forever.
There, a 22 year old man would think a brand new thought. Not just any new thought. A thought that would change everything, threaten his standing in society. A thought he’d be too scared to publish for another 30 years. A thought that affects the medicine you take & the food you eat today nearly 150 years later.
This week, let’s go to the Galapagos!
